Bells Project Supported Housing with Care

Bells Project is an extra care scheme in Stoke Newington, for African Caribbean people over the age of 55 in need of housing with additional care and support, with a special emphasis on customers cultural needs.

The scheme consists of 28 self-contained, one bedroom flats with a warden living on-site. The scheme also has a lift, communal lounges, laundry rooms, a  guest room and a garden.

Our support service offers you a housing related support service which can include: maintaining tenancies, advice on paying bills, setting up direct debits, applying for other benefits, linking in with healthcare and local community groups.

Every customer has a support plan that reflects their support needs and aspirations. Support workers regularly review these plans with you to make that they still reflect your needs.

Care is provided at the scheme by the Hackney local authority. The care is tailored to your needs and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We also offer a specialist social inclusion coordinator who regularly visits our London sheltered housing schemes to help arrange communal activities such as coffee morning and special events. This offers you the opportunity to keep active and socialise with other customers in the scheme.
